Admission Information


Applications to our program are accepted between August 1st and January 10th.  2013.

A complete application must include the following:

  1. A certified transcript documenting your completion of at least three years of study at a C.O.D.A approved college of dentistry
  2. A letter of recommendation from your dean
  3. A letter of recommendation from a department chairman
  4. A letter of recommendation from any other faculty member familiar with your clinical work
  5. Documentation of successful completion of Part I, and if completed, Part II of the National Dental Board Exam
  6. Your personal up-to-date C.V.
  7. An official copy of your undergraduate college transcript
  8. A 2" x 2" personal photo
  9. A completed Peninsula Hospital Center program application
  10. A personal statement detailing your reasons for wanting to attend our program and your personal career goals (not to exceed 500 words)

Our G.P.R. Program also participates in the P.A.S.S. resident matching program.


All applicants are required to present for an on-site interview with either members of the Dental Residency Committee and/or the Program Director.  As these interviews take place in the Department of Dentistry during regular clinic hours, it is suggested that applicants appear prior to their designated interview appointment times so that they may tour the facility and have an opportunity to observe and converse with our current residents.  Following interviews, applicants are ranked based on our evaluation of their academic records and interview.  Selections must be made without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or national origin.
